He is an ERA Fellow at the Applied Research & Innovation Centre (ARIC), Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST), and a Lecturer at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies, Kobe University. He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Tokyo University of the Arts.
His area of specialization is dance and performance studies, with a particular focus on choreographic theory, ecological performance, and the relationship between art and society.
He is currently working on an ERA Fellowship project funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), entitled Environmental Turn of Dance: Convergence of Therapeutic Practice, Art Creation with AI, and Community Practice (ETD). This project explores how choreography can serve as an ecological relation, integrating artistic creation, somatic practice, and environmental awareness through community-based and AI-assisted methodologies.
